Summertime?

My intention was to write a blog about the busy summertime at our church, but when I scraped the FROST off my windshield, it set me back! 

I am so thankful for all that God is allowing us to do at Smyrna.  This summer we will be involved in Vacation Bible School (to learn more click here).  It will be a great time to see familes come to our church and truly encounter the love of Christ.  I love VBS because it gives us an excuse to have fun while doing church!  How many other times in the year can I get away with preaching on a Sunday morning in front of a big roller coaster?

Then at the end of June, we will host the first ever RS Thomas Memorial Singing.  We look forward to a great night of singing and remebering the legacy of this Godly man who helped so many.

And as your pastor, I want to say THANK YOU for all you do to help our church.  YOU are the church and YOU send the message all around the world.
