Children's Ministry
At Smyrna, children are a vital part of what we do! We believe that it is vital to provide opportunities for children to learn, worship, and have fun all at the same time.
Safety:
We want you to know that your child's safety is of utmost importance to us here at Smyrna. We have only approved volunteers working with our children's ministry. We also release the children only to those who brought them. If you have questions, any of our Children's Ministry leaders will be happy to answer them for you.
Sunday Mornings:
Our Sunday mornings include Sunday school, Children's Moment with one of our Pastors, and Kids' Praise!
Your children will sit with you during worship music then are called to the front as the choir comes down. From there they are led by our volunteers back to the Kids' Praise area. Children can then be picked up from the Kids' Praise Room (located near the Fellowship Hall) after service is dismissed.
Sunday Nights:
On Sunday evenings, our kids and teens meet a little early (5:30) for some fun activity time before the service begins. Then they transition into their classroom where Ms. Candace works with them on some music (usually related to an upcoming opportunity to sing to our church family), and Ms. Charity teaches them about the importance of missions & service (using our SBC Children in Action content). When service is over, you can pick your kids up in the Fellowship Hall.
Wednesday Nights:
Music is an important part of our worship here at Smyrna. Kids who to come to Smyrna on Wednesday nights are part of our Children/Youth Choir. This is open to all students from our youngest kids to our high school seniors. There are also opportunities for service and missions during this time as well.
Leadership:
Kids' Praise: Charity Bowen (with rotating teams of volunteers each week)
Children in Action: Charity Bowen, Robin Baggett
Wednesday Kid's Choir & Teaching: Candace Owens, Tory Wilson, Leta Alton
